During the event, the parties discussed a wide spectrum of problems of mutual interest including the development of agricultural trade, planned mutual projects on the use of molecular biological methods in agriculture, as well as the emerging interactive communicational network for exchange of agricultural technologies.
In his speech, Pavel Kargashin reported the successful implementation of mutual projects in the framework of Russia-ASEAN dialogue and stressed the particularly fruitful cooperation between the MSU, Thailand’s Asian Institute of Technology, Vietnam National University, the University of Udayana (Bali, Indonesia). He also explained how molecular biological methods, widely used by Russian and ASEAN specialists, can help develop agriculture in ASEAN countries and make it more sustainable.
