ARSOMA-2

The 2nd ASEAN-Russian Federation Senior Officials’ Meeting on Agriculture (ARSOMA-2) was held in Singapore. The Meeting noted that the ASEAN-Russia Joint Cooperation Committee had approved two joint projects in agriculture field, namely: “Research and Development Cooperation Russia-ASEAN on Development and Implementation of Innovative Agricultural Technologies to Increase Sustainability of Agro-Ecological Systems”; and “Development of Expert Systems based on Large-Scale Soil-Geographic Databases”. These projects were initiated by the Moscow State University in collaboration with the Udayana University in Bali (Indonesia). Later universities from Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam joined to the implementation of these projects.
