MSU Continues Shooting of International Educational Film on Water Treatment

For two weeks the main lecture hall of the Faculty of Soil Sciense of Moscow State University turned into a real shooting stage. There, scientists, and AEU Club members, were working on (and acting in) a new educational film for students of natural sciences in ASEAN countries and Russia. AEU members Angelika Astaykina and Sergey Kharitonov are leading actors.

This film will be a part of a series of films about Wastewater Treatment. This project has been initiated under the aegis of ASEAN and Russia to foster scientific cooperation between them and provide students of biological and ecological studies with a modern and effective multimedia materials. Experts in various fields of science are taking part in the project to create a unique educational material.

The film will cover creation of phyto-treatment facilities (Constructed Wetlands, or CWs) and include lectural part as well as 2D and 3D animation and documental shootings of real functioning treatment facilities in different countries.

Due to the coronavirus restrictions, shootings at the facilities have been postponed. but the films are expected to have been finalized by summer 2021.
