Mikhail Semenov

Dr. Mikhail Semenov is a specialist in soil microbiology and soil ecology. His scientific interests include plant rhizosphere microbiomes; links between soil microbial community structure and the ecological functions and processes they perform; the effects of fertilization and land use types on soil microbial communities. The methodology of research is based on molecular genetic approaches (RT-PCR, metabarcoding, metagenomics, and bioinformatics) and assessment of microbial activity.
