On November 26, AEU Club Expert Dr. Nataliya Shchegolkova took part in a web conference organized by Indonesia’s Udayana University. The event was focused on Bioscience and Biotechnology, as well as integration of multi-science analysis into research process.
Dr. Nataliya Shchegolkova presented the AEU Club as a club uniting scientists, teachers and students in agriculture and ecology from Russia, Europe and ASEAN countries and told the audience that the development of technical progress today results in the destruction of the integrity of ecosystems; thus, natural ecosystems need continuous human regulation. She pointed out that the AEU Club considers biodiversity in two ways – as a goal and as a means. Biodiversity has become the key to solving even the main problem of today – Covid-19 pandemic.
The current poor situation with ecology and biodiversity can be changed if we work to restore disrupted natural biological disinfection of water bodies and soils. Dr. Shchegolkova thinks that all the necessary decision can be taken at the local level in each specific region. For example, creating new small natural self-purification ecosystems, green walls can facilitate the process of biodiversity restoration.
AEU Club is ready to participate in scientific exchange, training of young professionals and collaborating with local companies to design and create systems, necessary for sustainable development.
