At the beginning of 2020, AEU Club started a project of student teleconferences, an international online course on project-oriented learning. In this course, proactive students from different countries and regions split into teams, select problem water bodies and, together with the world’s leading experts in the field of wastewater treatment and environmental technologies, create a project to restore the ecological state.
The project consisted of lectures, working on students’ own projects, presentations, and many informal meetings, which helped students to enhance their language and communicative skills, as well as create strong international ties.
In Bali, students from five ASEN countries and Russia met for the first time in real life to sum up their experience, watch a film about their teleconferences, and discuss future mutual projects. It would be no exaggeration to say that after many months of hard work they felt like old friends and colleagues and were happy to see each other.
